Travelling during a pandemic is unheard of!

Since the start of the pandemic, tourism has been one of the sectors most affected by the health crisis. Whether it's airlines, hotels or airport car parks, everyone has had to establish new rules to cope with the economic and health difficulties.

The whole world is confined, disconfirmed and reconfirmed... but many people have to travel, whether in France or abroad.

These days, it's possible to travel for business reasons, for imperial family reasons and even for pleasure. Some countries have closed their borders completely, but it is still possible to go on holiday to certain destinations.

How do I prepare for my trip? Will I be reimbursed if I am unable to travel at the last minute? How will my trip change? Will my routine be disrupted?

We'll try to answer as many questions as possible so that you can travel with peace of mind despite the unprecedented health situation.

Don't hesitate to consult the online information on the embassy website before taking any steps.

How to prepare your trip

This health crisis is restricting us in our everyday movements, but even more so when we have to travel.

Since 15 December, there is no longer any need for a compulsory certificate to justify to the authorities the reason for our travels. However, there is a curfew at 6pm or 8pm in several regions. However, you can still travel as long as you have an exemption certificate.

Then, to avoid any unpleasant surprises, we advise you to park your vehicle in a private car park like Beep-Valet's instead of an airport car park. A private car park will have more advantages, such as :

  • Always have a place available
  • No problems with your vehicle
  • Benefit from vehicle surveillance (camera, protected parking)
  • Pay two to three times less than in an airport car park
  • Benefit from vehicle maintenance
  • Benefit from a transport service to the airport

Not to mention peace of mind in the event of flight cancellation on your return. Your car stays safe and our service operates 24 hours a day. We have managed the problems of many travellers stranded during the 1st confinement. They were able to recover their vehicles with peace of mind on their return, even after several weeks' delay.

What will change during my trip?

Once you're well prepared, all you need to do is set off with peace of mind.

We don't travel as easily as we used to. Some people even give up travelling because of the difficulties involved.

There are a number of factors to take into account before you leave, and all of them take time to prepare. Some countries no longer accept travellers from France.

Before booking your ticket and car park, you need to check that the destination country can accommodate you. You should also check that a PCR test is not compulsory in the 48 hours preceding your departure.

If this is the case, you need to be aware of the time taken by laboratories to process and obtain results. Airlines will not make exceptions if you fail to submit your test. In this case, you will not be able to board your flight and you will not be reimbursed.

Once all this has been taken into account, you can finally reserve your car park. When you place your order, you should allow an extra margin for the delivery time. This is because the health measures put in place in the transport sector may slow down the usual route.

Cancellation insurance is also available at the time of booking.

The question of reimbursement often comes up when people decide to use the services of a private car park during this health crisis. In fact, we have seen a number of independent cancellations by travellers since the 1st confinement:

- airlines may have to cancel flights at the last minute

-Your state of health no longer allows you to travel

-You are a contact case and must remain confined

-Your PCR test is invalid or did not arrive on time

-The country you travel to is reconfigured at the last minute ...

If you unfortunately have to cancel your trip at the last minute, you may not be entitled to a refund. We didn't necessarily realise before the first confinement that a trip could be cancelled so suddenly and result in such a significant loss of money (flights, hotel, parking, hire car, etc.).

In the event of cancellation without insurance, the law provides for a deferment/credit note valid for 18 months. At the end of the 18 months, if the customer has not been able to use the credit, it will be refunded. If the customer refuses, the company's general terms and conditions of sale (GTCS) will apply, but these are often less advantageous for the customer. At Beep-Valet, the terms and conditions provide for a refund of 50% in the event of cancellation 48 hours before departure. After this time no refund is possible. We offer a credit note to all our customers even in the event of cancellation on the same day.

Customers who have taken out cancellation insurance will be reimbursed immediately and in full. This will be done within 72 hours of cancellation by crediting the credit card used or by bank transfer.

As you can see, it's in our customers' best interests to take out cancellation insurance. It costs less than €5 and guarantees you a refund without the need for proof.

What measures have been taken to ensure safe travel?

At Beep-Valet, our customers' security comes first. In fact, to enable you to continue to use our services de parking close to the airportWe have put in place a number of ways to protect you and us against Covid-19:

  • Make surgical masks and hydro-alcoholic gel available at reception
  • Clean the vehicle that takes you to the airport (disinfect seats, handles, etc., after each journey)
  • Putting guards on the steering wheel and gear lever of our vehicles to protect our employees
  • Disinfect the accessories you touch when you park your vehicle
  • Respect barrier gestures

As you will have understood, this health crisis in no way alters the quality of our services. On the contrary, we are doing everything we can to improve them so that you can continue to travel with complete peace of mind. It is in our interest to maintain continuity of service. We make it a point of honour to guarantee optimum use of all our services while applying health safety rules.

For pleasure or for business reasons, it is possible to travel both in France and abroad. Our habits have been shaken up a little, but all this is necessary for everyone's safety. It's important for us to maintain our offer despite the difficulties and to stay in touch with our customers. There will undoubtedly be better days ahead, and it's important for us to be here today so that we can be better together tomorrow....
